Semi Permanent Brows explained…

I’ve offered semi permanent brows now for over 8 years, in that time the industry has introduced new methods and styles. The most common question I get asked as a Brow Tech is, What do they all mean?

First of all you need to decide how you want your brows to look 24/7

  • Do you like a crisp edge to your brows?

  • Do you use powder in your brows usually?

  • Do you like a brow to look natural?

  • Do you like a textured brow?

  • Do you like your brows to look filled with and without makeup?

These questions can help decide if you are more suitable for Ombre Brows/Powder Brows or more of a hairstroke pattern.

Lets start with OMBRE BROWS/POWDER BROWS

Ombre Brows can be as soft or as bold as you like and can look even softer if you combine with hairstrokes which is one of my most popular styles.

Ombre Brows is suitable for clients who often use a powder or a cream to fill their brows in and like a fuller looking brow.

MACHINE HAIRSTROKE BROWS

This method is currently the talk of the industry due to its creative style and its versatility on all skin types.

I love this method due to how much it can mimic natural hairs. Often mistaken for Microblading, however due to the way the pigment is implanted into the skin with microblading, you are unable to cross the hairs over. With Machine Hairstroke Brows, the pattern can be crossed over which is what makes this method so realistic.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Both methods will last somewhere between 1-3 years if implanted correctly however, for Ombre Brows I recommend not letting the colour fade completely otherwise you may need 2 sessions again. You will usually need to return 12 months after your top up for best results.

Hairstroke Brows I recommend letting the hairs fade as much as possible so then you can get ultra fine hairstrokes again.

DO YOU STILL OFFER MICROBLADING?

Yes I do, however I only offer it on certain skin types now. Such as if someone comes to me with oily skin, I would recommend them having the Machine Hairstroke Brows instead.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

I am based in a cute market town called Market Weighton, It is close to Hull and York.
